September 20, 2009 - Insights To World Peace

Padraig O'Malley (pronounced "POUR – rig") is an internationally recognized authority on reconciliation and peace negotiations. He’s spent the past year "on the inside" working directly with those involved in some of the world’s most difficult areas, including both the Sunni and Shiites in Iraq.

On September 20th, 2009 Padraig discussed his involvement in peace negotiations and answered questions from those attending this event.

"My great fortune has been to be present where one-time opponents have sought to reconcile their differences and forge peaceful futures for their countries.", says Padraig, "The words of those participants hold powerful lessons for societies across the world and my focus at the McCormack Graduate School has been to try to make those lessons available to as many people as possible."

The program ran about 90 minutes and was followed by a Q & A session with the audience. Click on the play button above to watch this incredible event!
